Harril Pty Ltd trading as Coburns Earthmoving was established in Nyah, Victoria in 1986 by Rob and Jill Coburn. Rob (Chesty) had worked under his grandfather and father before starting the business.

Coburns Earthmoving is now owned and operated by their son, Shane Coburn, making him the fourth generation of earthmovers in the Coburn family. 

Both Chesty and Shane still work as Grader Operators. They have a combined 85 years experience.

Currently, Coburns have a staff of around 35 employees. These consist of Machine operators, truck drivers, mechanics and administration staff. 

​

The day-to-day management of the business is conducted by Gary Saville, the operations manager. Gary has experience with Coburns dating back to the 80's when he was a machine operator. Gary is also a qualified boilermaker and has been an Engineering instructor.

Coburns hold current AS/NZS ISO 9001-2016: Quality Management, AS/NZS ISO 14001-2016: Environmental Management and AS/NZS ISO 45001-2018: OHS certification.
